अपनी ब्रिक्स (BRICS) अध्यक्षता के तहत, भारत केरल के कोच्चि में दो दिवसीय ब्रिक्स महिला कार्य समूह की बैठक की मेजबानी कर रहा है। इस सम्मेलन का मुख्य उद्देश्य महिलाओं के नेतृत्व वाले विकास, डिजिटल समावेशन और सशक्तिकरण को बढ़ावा देना है।

- जलवायु और खाद्य सुरक्षा: वैश्विक जलवायु कार्रवाई (Climate action), खाद्य सुरक्षा और पोषण के क्षेत्र में महिलाओं की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका को पहचानना और उसे सशक्त बनाना।

यह कार्य समूह बैठक सदस्य देशों को 'महिलाओं के नेतृत्व वाले विकास' (Women-led development) को आगे बढ़ाने और आम सहमति बनाने का एक मजबूत अवसर प्रदान करती है। यह चर्चा इसी महीने की 8 और 9 तारीख को होने वाली 'ब्रिक्स महिला मंत्रिस्तरीय बैठक' के लिए एक ठोस आधार तैयार करेगी।
