- विशेष प्रतिनिधि (SR) तंत्र: श्री डोभाल और श्री वांग सीमा वार्ता तंत्र के लिए नामित 'विशेष प्रतिनिधि' हैं, जिसे 3,400 किलोमीटर से अधिक लंबी भारत-चीन सीमा के जटिल विवाद को व्यापक रूप से हल करने के लिए 2003 में स्थापित किया गया था।

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval arrived in Beijing for a crucial two-day visit. He will lead the 25th round of the Special Representatives (SR) talks on the boundary issue with his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, signaling renewed efforts to stabilize strained bilateral ties.
🤝 Key Highlights of the Bilateral Dialogue:
- The SR Mechanism: Both Mr. Doval and Mr. Wang are the designated Special Representatives for this critical border mechanism, which was established in 2003 to comprehensively address the prolonged boundary dispute spanning over 3,400 kilometers.
- Broad Agenda: According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the leaders will have an in-depth discussion not just on the boundary question, but also on broader bilateral, regional, and international relations.
- Post-Galwan Strain: The talks hold immense significance as ties between New Delhi and Beijing came under severe strain following the 2020 Galwan Valley clash and the prolonged military stand-off in eastern Ladakh. Both sides have since initiated steps to normalize relations.
