भारत का रक्षा विनिर्माण क्षेत्र ऐतिहासिक परिवर्तन के दौर से गुजर रहा है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में घरेलू रक्षा उत्पादन रिकॉर्ड 1.78 लाख करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गया है, जो 2013-14 में मात्र 43,000 करोड़ रुपये था।

नई दिल्ली में एयरोस्पेस और रक्षा विनिर्माण (Aerospace and Defence Manufacturing) पर आयोजित राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में बोलते हुए, रक्षा उत्पादन विभाग के सचिव संजीव कुमार ने बताया कि भारत का रक्षा विनिर्माण क्षेत्र एक ऐतिहासिक परिवर्तन के दौर से गुजर रहा है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2025-26 में इसका घरेलू उत्पादन मूल्य रिकॉर्ड 1.78 लाख करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गया है।

- ऐतिहासिक विकास दर: घरेलू रक्षा उत्पादन के मूल्य में भारी उछाल आया है। यह 2013-14 के मात्र 43,000 करोड़ रुपये से तेजी से बढ़कर चालू वित्तीय वर्ष (2025-26) में अभूतपूर्व रूप से 1.78 लाख करोड़ रुपये हो गया है।
- मूल R&D पर जोर: घरेलू इकोसिस्टम के तेजी से हो रहे विकास को रेखांकित करते हुए, श्री कुमार ने उद्यमियों और उद्योग के खिलाड़ियों से 'मूल अनुसंधान और विकास' (Original R&D) में भारी निवेश करने का आग्रह किया।
- स्वदेशी सृजन का मार्ग: उन्होंने उद्योग के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण वैचारिक बदलाव पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि "असली विजेता वे हैं जो 'ओरिजिनल क्रिएशन' (मूल सृजन) का कठिन रास्ता चुनते हैं" न कि जो केवल असेंबली या विदेशी तकनीक हस्तांतरण पर निर्भर रहते हैं।

The sector has surged to a record domestic production value of ₹1.78 lakh crore in FY 2025-26.
