प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नई दिल्ली में बेल्जियम के प्रधानमंत्री बार्ट डी वेवर (Bart De Wever) के साथ व्यापक द्विपक्षीय वार्ता की। प्रथम विश्व युद्ध (WWI) के गहरे ऐतिहासिक संबंधों को याद करते हुए, दोनों नेताओं ने रणनीतिक क्षेत्रों में सहयोग का विस्तार करने के साथ-साथ अगले पांच वर्षों में द्विपक्षीय व्यापार को दोगुना करने का महत्वाकांक्षी लक्ष्य रखा है।
- रणनीतिक समझौते (MoUs): दोनों देशों ने रक्षा सहयोग पर आशय पत्र (Letter of Intent) के साथ-साथ नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा (Renewable Energy), साइबर अपराध और कूटनीतिक प्रशिक्षण पर समझौता ज्ञापनों पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
- रक्षा और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा (Defence & Clean Energy): द्विपक्षीय सहयोग अब आधुनिक रक्षा उपकरणों, विशेष रूप से जोरावर टैंक (Zorawar tank) तक फैल गया है। इसके अतिरिक्त, काकीनाडा (आंध्र प्रदेश) में दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी ग्रीन अमोनिया परियोजनाओं (green ammonia projects) में से एक का विकास किया जा रहा है।
- तकनीक और आपूर्ति श्रृंखला (Tech & Supply Chain): विश्वसनीय आपूर्ति श्रृंखला बनाने के लिए दोनों देश 'महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों' (critical minerals) के प्रसंस्करण और रीसाइक्लिंग पर सहयोग करेंगे। इसके अलावा, बेल्जियम के प्रसिद्ध IMEC संस्थान को भारत के सेमीकंडक्टर इकोसिस्टम (semiconductor ecosystem) से जोड़ा जाएगा।
- आर्थिक लचीलापन: वैश्विक अनिश्चितताओं के बीच भारत की 7.8% GDP वृद्धि का हवाला देते हुए, पीएम मोदी ने भारत को आर्थिक स्थिरता के प्रतीक के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया। बेल्जियम के पीएम की यात्रा व्यापक भारत-यूरोपीय संघ मुक्त व्यापार समझौते (India-EU FTA) को आगे बढ़ाने पर भी केंद्रित है।
यह शिखर सम्मेलन पारंपरिक व्यापार से 'हाई-टेक साझेदारी' की ओर एक रणनीतिक बदलाव का प्रतीक है। बेल्जियम के उन्नत सेमीकंडक्टर अनुसंधान (IMEC) का लाभ उठाकर और घरेलू विनिर्माण (जोरावर टैंक और ग्रीन अमोनिया) में यूरोपीय साझेदारी को एकीकृत करके, भारत अपनी महत्वपूर्ण आपूर्ति श्रृंखलाओं को सुरक्षित कर रहा है और यूरोपीय संघ (EU) के भीतर अपना भू-राजनीतिक प्रभाव बढ़ा रहा है।

Commemorating deep historical ties dating back to World War I, the two leaders set an ambitious target to double bilateral trade over the next five years while expanding cooperation into strategic sectors.
- Strategic MoUs Exchanged: The nations signed a Letter of Intent on Defence Cooperation, alongside MoUs covering Renewable Energy, cybercrime, and diplomatic training.
- Defence & Clean Energy Synergy: Bilateral cooperation has expanded to modern defense equipment, notably the Zorawar tank. Additionally, the countries are developing one of the world’s largest green ammonia projects in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
