राष्ट्रीय फैशन प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (NIFT) के दीक्षांत समारोह को संबोधित करते हुए, राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि कपड़ा और परिधान क्षेत्र न केवल भारत की सांस्कृतिक विरासत का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है, बल्कि यह लाखों लोगों को आजीविका भी प्रदान करता है। इस ऐतिहासिक कार्यक्रम में लगभग 4,000 छात्रों ने डिग्री प्राप्त की।

इंजीनियरिंग और प्रौद्योगिकी को पारंपरिक रेशम और कपड़ा शिल्प के साथ एकीकृत करके, NIFT पेशेवरों की अगली पीढ़ी भारत की वैश्विक उपस्थिति का आक्रामक रूप से विस्तार करने की स्थिति में है। यह दृष्टिकोण न केवल विरासत का व्यवसायीकरण करता है, बल्कि विश्व मंच पर स्वदेशी डिजाइन सौंदर्यशास्त्र के माध्यम से भारत की 'सॉफ्ट पावर' (Soft Power) को भी बढ़ाता है।

Addressing the convocation ceremony of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), President Droupadi Murmu emphasized the textile and apparel sector's vital role in preserving India’s cultural heritage and sustaining millions of livelihoods. Approximately 4,000 students received their degrees during the historic event.
